  • Wood Hudson is the ONLY nonprofit cancer research laboratory in the Tri-State area
  • Less than 1% of Wood Hudson's expenditures are spent on fund raising
  • Less than 7% of expenditures are spent on the general (indirect) costs of research
  • More than 92% of our expenditures are spent on research and education
  • Wood Hudson scientists have a combined total of more than 100 years experience
  • Wood Hudson has contributed more than 11 million dollars to the local community
  • Since 1981 Wood Hudson Cancer Research Laboratory has been dedicated to the prognosis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of all cancers

    VOLUNTEER

    Make An Impact!
    Your time and support is one of our greatest assets. Various events are held throughout the year to raise funds to benefit Wood Hudson Cancer Research Laboratory such as the:

    • Flying Pig Marathon Fundraiser
    • Ft. Thomas Corvette Car Club Cancer Research Benefit Car Show
    • Northern Kentucky F Body Association Car Show

    Special events and tasks require volunteers from time to time. Volunteers can serve in leadership and support roles supporting events ranging from publication assistance, auctions, walks, and runs.

    Volunteers are also needed for:

    • Newsletter & LabNotes mailings
    • The upcoming 30th Anniversary Gala in January 2011
    • The Biospecimen Repository Center Grand Opening (Date TBA)
    • Special Events
    Volunteers are always needed to help out with special events and fundraisers such as the Flying Pig Marathon Expo or the Ft. Thomas Corvette Club Annual Cancer Research Benefit Car Show.

    Support Local Cancer Research

    Wood Hudson Cancer Research Laboratory is dedicated to acquiring new knowledge that can lead to prevention of premature death from cancer - your gifts help fund cutting-edge translational cancer research by:

    • Providing support for site specific cancer research such as breast, cervical, colorectal, head and neck, lung, ovarian, and prostate cancers
    • Providing funding for experimental research designs
    • Financing the purchase of vital research supplies
    • Training undergraduate science students participating in the Undergraduate Research Education Program in cancer cell biology and cancer research methods
